Beauty ain’t that ‘macho’!
Thoughts and contemplations around being a man and what a man ought to resemble have generally been unreasonably contrasted with the normal man’s body and is seldom addressed or spoken about in the social media ,or between the peer group you might be part of . However , male generalizations , normal stereotyping and ways of behaving are slowly being subjected to change as more discussions , thoughts etc are being shared and expressed. Numerous men experience issues with meeting physical expectations for that macho look, trying hard to meet the unrealistic beauty standards and end up being victims of an under confident, insecure body which may lead to conditions like body dysmorphia etc!
Its just as hard to be Abhishek Bachchan as it is to be Aiswarya Rai!!
However, what needs to be discussed about and need to be at par is the health-related concerns regarding any beauty products, especially when it comes to your skin! We all are well aware of the drill! What normally happens is we tend to automatically associate the ‘skincare’ to women, disregarding the multitude of problems most of the men have to battle against considering their much denser, oilier skin type! That’s right, the skin type is distinct enough to be fed with a separate range of products that may be required to cater to the needs of a man’s skin! Let’s not apply the ‘free size’ concept here when it comes to something very personalized such as skincare! Lets learn about the differences in terms of-
1. OILINESS
Male skin has bigger pores, is oilier and is more inclined to acne, skin reactivity and skin inflammation. Men have more dynamic sebaceous organs, and in this manner more pores, than ladies. Both their sebaceous organs and their pores are bigger than those of ladies. Sebum secretion is twofold that of ladies, so male skin is oilier and shinier than female skin. Therefore, its pH is lower than that of female skin and is inclined to pollutants and skin break out. Grown-up guys are less inclined to dry skin than grown-up females.
2. AGE
Indications of skin aging may show up later in men in any case, when wrinkles show up, they’re completely furrowed and changes happen all the more rapidly once they start. Men are generally impacted by sagging or loose skin joined with puffy eyes and dark circles that make them look drained. Men get wrinkles as well; however, they are regularly to a lesser degree a worry than for ladies. Male wrinkles happen later than female wrinkles be that as it may, when they do show up, they are completely grooved.
3. THICKNESS
By and large, around 20% thicker than female skin. It contains more collagen and has a tighter, firmer appearance. The collagen content of male skin decreases at a steady rate. Female skin is impacted sometime down the road, particularly after the menopause. Female skin then, at that point, diminishes all the more significantly and the impacts are more articulated than in male skin.
