Dermatitis or Eczema is an inflammation of the skin. Eczema term is applied to a range of persistent skin rashes. These include dryness and recurring skin rashes that typically cause redness, skin swelling, itching, crusting, flaking, blistering, cracking, oozing, or bleeding. Sometime skin discoloration starts due to healed injuries.
Causes of Eczema
Healthy skin tissue play a role of barrier to retain moisture and to protect the body from harmful environmental challenges. Potential causes of eczema are-Dryness causing factors, which in turn affects the skin’s barrier function, Genetic mutations that affect the skin’s barrier function, Immune system dysfunction causing an unwanted inflammatory response in the skin. Trigger factors of eczema are can be: Some factors cause skin irritation such as soaps and detergents, wool, skin infections, dry skin, low humidity, heat, sweating or emotional stress. Allergens such as dust mites, pollen, moulds or foods.
SIGN AND SYMPTOMS
Eczema symptoms vary with different forms. They circulate from skin rashes to bumpy rashes or including blisters. Major symptom of this eczema condition is itchy skin. Every type of dermatitis has some specific symptoms; however there are certain signs that are common for all of them. Common symptoms of all types of dermatitis, Red rashes on skin, Swelling, Dryness and itching, Skin lesions with oozing and scarring.
What Are The Types of Dermatitis Or Eczema?
There are several types of dermatitis such as atopic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, seborrhoeic dermatitis and xerotic dermatitis. Each type has specific symptoms; however, there are certain signs that are common for all of them, including redness of the skin, swelling, itching and skin lesions with sometimes oozing and scarring.
1. Atopic Eczema
An allergic condition that contains hereditary component,and often runs in families. In this condition Itchy rash appears on head and scalp, neck, inside of elbows, behind knees, and buttocks.
2. Contact Eczema
Contact dermatitis can be of two types, allergic or Irritant. Allergic dermatitis caused by an allergen such as poison, nickel, or Balsam of Peru. Condition of irritant eczema results from a direct reaction to a detergent.
3. Xerotic Eczema
This condition is caused due to dryness to skin, xerotic eczema worsens in dry winter weather. It mainly affects limbs and trunks.
4. Seborrhoeic Eczema
This form of eczema that is closely related to dandruff. It causes dryness in the scalp region or greasy peeling of the scalp, eyebrows, and face.

1. PANCHTIKAT GHRIT GUGGUL TAB
